We are sons of a butcher named Butch, yes, really. We come from humble beginnings and work hard to supply the best meat, seafood, and cheese Birmingham has to offer. 2020 was quite the year. After pivoting to truck sales during COVID-19, our parent company, Evans Meats & Seafood, quickly realized that people wanted the same high-quality products Birmingham’s top restaurants and chefs used; thus, this spinoff concept was created. The counters at Son of a Butcher are the evolution of a collective dream shared with our team to operate the best full-service butcher shop, fresh seafood counter, and cut-to-order cheese shop in the South.
