Vittoria Macelleria Selected as One of The South's Best Restaurants

Southern Living Magazine Selects Vittoria for the "100 Best Restaurants in the South" Listing

In a recent article published by Southern Living magazine, Pepper Place's very own butchery, Vittoria Macelleria was named one of the “100 Best Restaurants in the South".  This listing was published August 2014 providing reviews and "what to order" suggestions.  

Vittoria's review lists Salumi and Aged Spinalis Steak as the "what to order" suggestion and highlights Chef James Lewis for his "homage to the art of butchary" at Vittoria:  "He will change the way you think about meat."  

Pepper Place chef, Chris Hastings, was also highlighted for his “efforts to showcase Alabama’s bounty” at restaurant Hot and Hot Fish Club. Hastings recently joined the Pepper Place family where he will opening his second restaurant, Oven Bird, later in 2014.
